Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. tooldrop.dev uses as few as possible, and none for advertising.

  • dirkit-consent (localStorage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner doesn't come back. Kept until you clear your browser data.

Until you choose, Google Analytics 4 runs without cookies: it sends a cookieless ping and writes no analytics cookie. If you accept, it sets the cookies below to tell visits apart and measure which pages are viewed. If you decline, no analytics cookie is written.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors. 2 years.
  • ga*: keeps the session state. 2 years.

Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. Details in Google's privacy policy and in their page on how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Third parties

  • The submit form posts to this site's own server and sets no cookie of ours. Spam is filtered with an invisible field, a per-IP rate limit and Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a challenge cookie and receives your IP address and browser data to tell people from bots. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • The newsletter form posts to this site's own server, which hands your address to Brevo; it uses no cookies, and spam is filtered with an invisible field and a rate limit.
  • Screenshots of listed tools are hosted on tooldrop.dev; no content is embedded from the listed tools themselves.

Changing your choice

Click the small dot in the bottom-right corner of any page to reopen the banner, see your current choice and change it. Closing the banner with the X counts as declining. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies does not affect how the directory works.

For everything else, see the Privacy Policy.
